» Famed guitarist Carlos Alomar will join PLAY! in North Carolina.
SAN FRANCISCO, Calif., June 26, 2009 - Today, Jason Michael Paul Productions, Inc. announced that the North Carolina Symphony will be joined by world famous guitarist Carlos Alomar. Carlos will perform on Silent Hill and the Chrono Suite. PLAY! A Video Game Symphony the international concert series with music from a catalogue of blockbuster video games. The concert will be presented in Cary, North Carolina at Koka Booth Amphitheatre on Saturday, July 11, 2009.

Carlos Alomar, well known as one of David Bowies favorite guitarist and musical director, has been influencing the music industry for many years. His credits read like a who's who of our generation. He wrote his first no.1 single with David Bowie and John Lennon "Fame". He also co-wrote Mick Jagger's Multi-Platinum solo album "Shes The Boss",as well as writing for the Pretenders, Iggy Pop and various international artist. His famous guitar sound can still be heard on Iggy Pop's "Lust for Life. Carlos is the recipient of 32 Gold and/or Platinum records. Over the years he has loaned his special flavor of guitar playing to such greats as David Bowie, Paul McCartney, John Lennon, Nine inch Nails, Iggy Pop, Bruce Springsteen, Yoko Ono, Duran Duran, Simple Minds, Scissor Sisters and the list goes on.... A pioneer in the field of guitar synthesizers Carlos recorded a solo album entitled - Dream Generator- A symphony of sound recorded exclusively on the synth-guitar.
The concert will be performed by the North Carolina Symphony and chorus, conducted by Associate Conductor Andy Brick.
